Tip 4: Page Inspector (Ctrl+Alt+F1) tells you where a field comes from

When you need to know which table a field lives in, which page you are on, or what filters are applied, Page Inspector answers in one keystroke.

Press Ctrl+Alt+F1 on any page. A pane opens on the right with the page name and ID, the source table, the current filters, the record's primary key, and every field of the record, including ones not on the page, with the extension that added each. Click a field on the page and the inspector jumps to it.

It answers the questions that otherwise become support tickets: "what is this page called?", "which extension added this column?", "what filter is on this list?", "what is the actual value stored behind this caption?". It also tells you the value of every field on a record for troubleshooting ("why did this post to that account?" starts with inspecting the posting groups on the line). Give it to your super users; it is the best five minutes of training you can provide.
