Every tenant has sandbox environments. A copy of production for trying things is one click in the admin centre.
The Business Central admin centre (Tell Me: "admin center", or from the environment menu) → Environments → New → Sandbox → Copy from production. In an hour you have production's data on a separate URL, with "Sandbox" in the banner. Try the new feature, test the release wave preview, train a new starter, rehearse a migration. Delete and recreate when it drifts. Emails from a sandbox are blocked by default; job queue entries are copied and should be put on hold (environments post).
Three sandboxes come with the subscription. If "we tested it in live" is a sentence anyone in your business has said, this tip is for them.
