Tip 14: Recurring sales and purchase lines

Customers who order the same things each time, and suppliers you buy the same things from, can have a standard set of lines inserted in one click.

Set up a Recurring Sales Line code (Tell Me: "recurring sales lines"): a name and a set of lines (items, quantities, prices optional). On the customer card, under Recurring Sales Lines, assign the code and choose how it is inserted: Manual (an action on the order), Automatic (inserted when the order is created), Always Ask, or Insert on Order only. The same exists for vendors.

A customer who takes the same fifteen lines weekly: one code, Automatic, and the order is created populated. A service contract with monthly charges: a recurring line on the customer and an order a month. For the general ledger equivalent, recurring general journals do the same for standing journals.
